The Empyrean Ensemble, new music ensemble in residence at UC Davis, will give the world premiere of I hope when it happens I have time to say oh this is how, a concerto for solo harp and small ensemble, on Sunday, February 28, 2027 at 7pm in Pitzer Recital Hall on the UC Davis campus. The event is FREE.

Composed for and to be performed by harpist Jennifer Ellis, I hope when it happens I have time to say oh this is how is a 25-minute work in three movements for solo harp and small ensemble (flute, clarinet, horn, trumpet, percussion, violin, cello, and double bass). The performance will be conducted by Matilda Hofman.
